Skin editor

Today, I made the decision to outsource the skin editor for clist_nicer+ and make it an extra plugin.

That means, the old Background+ page will soon vanish from clist_nicer+ and a new dialog will be added to the customize section when the skin editor plugin is loaded.

The reasons are quite simple: Since clist_nicer+ and tabSRMM share roughly the same skinning engine (+ skin file format), the skin editor can later be used for both plugins. Also, as an extra plugin it can save memory and other resources for people who don't want to edit skins but only want to load existing ones.

It also means, that I'll probably improve the skin editor with some features for editing image items and give it a better, more user-friendly user interface than it currently has (that Background+ page is really ugly and overloaded with UI elements now and badly needs some improvements...)

    Hi there..

Thanks for fixing the autosizing.. works like a sharm here aswell now :)

Got a question on the idea about the skinengine, will it be compatible with the old setting from old Nicer or will it be completely new?

This is by far the best Clist. :p

Yes, I actually have 2 sample skins, but I'am still waiting for permission, because one of them is based on the look of a popular visual style and uses some gfx from it.

    hi Nightwish:

this is a bit out of place, but i need to report this:

tabsrmm is caushing crash to miranda... here is how it happens:

i started off as invinsible mode...after long time (1-2 hours), i switch to "online" (or wathever status beside offline and invinsible) miranda crashes... sometime it does crash until i try to start a conversation with a contact by calling tabsrmm...other time, it crash once someone send a mesage to me (thus starting tabsrmm)

i stop the crash by turning off "Load History Event" (now it sets to load unread event only)

for the longest time i did not suspect it is tabsrmm... but now it seems to be quite clear since that stop the crash...

can u please that a look into this please? (oh yes, usually it is a contacts for MSN that is involved. Not sure if it is relevant)

(using Miranda nitely 57#, with MSN, ICQ, Yahoo.. YAPP, tipper, NSN mod, modern clist, ieview, loadavatar, AutoLoadAvatar, weather, history++, HTTPserver, Database Editor, updator)

NOTE: i am a avid beta-alpha tester, so all above mentioned plugins are all the latestest ones.

Without a proper crash log/debug output/backtrace, I cannot do anything about it.

There is no known bug in the message log code so I think the crash is triggered by something else.

I usually have the "load history events" set to 100 (max.) and it sill works flawlessly.

BTW: if you are using IEView, then the crash is most likely ieview related.

now that u said it might relate to IEView, it kindda make sense too...

can u recommend me which version is better than the latest version of IEView (since yours never crash?)

there is no crash report, it did even let me choose to see debug message, just something for me to click "ok" for 5-8 times, then only it totally exit

No idea. I don't use IEView at all, but when IEView is active, tabSRMM does not load or display any message (the entire message log is then handled by IEView).

just to report back to u... it most probably has nothing to do with IEView...

i disable IEView, and it still crash when i call up tabsrmm... then i remove IEView plugin and still crash

the error say: unable to write to memory ..or something that sound like that

NOTE: to reproduce, must start invinnsible, then change to online after sometime... on mine, even after 2 mins is sufficient
