This is a small update to my "modified Sound Volume":http://miranda.or.at/miranda-general/test/ plugin which I posted a while ago.

h3{margin-left:1em;margin-top:1em}. What's new in this release?

* Added ICOLIB support for the 2nd mute button icon.

That's all.

    Hi Nightwish,

just noticed a bug in sndvolume. If I change a sound in the Miranda internal Events/Sounds and try to preview it, I can't hear anything (null).

Events/Sounds preview only works for the changed sound item again, if I restart Miranda.

For all other (unchanged) items it still works fine without any restart.

Without sndvol the described problem doesnt appear.

Do you think you could fix that? Thanks for your time.

That's probably not a bug in sndvol and I don't plan to put more work into this plugin. It works as it should anyway, including previews (unable to reproduce the behaviour you are describing here - preview work fine).

Hmm. That is weird. I can perfectly reproduce it. I am using Miranda 0.4.3 #49. But this problem was also happening with older Miranda Releases. I know that you dont want to put more work into it. I just wanted to tell you about this bug. Maybe you didnt understand me right.

Soundvolume preview work perfectly. But the preview of sounds in the options under Events/Sounds doesnt work after changing a sound. And it only doesnt work with that particular sound (changed). With all other sounds, which have not been change it works perfectly.

My bug seams to be appear in a combination with another plugin. Havent figured out which one... ;) In a clean #49 the problem is not appearing.

I only wanted to report that to other people who might have the problem.

I also tried mRadio! Its like you say really smart and fast, and saves a lot of memory compared to winamp (even the 2.X.Version).

Are you planning to add a stop and play button to sndvol as well?

That would improve the usability a lot - otherwise I have to search the radio station on the clist every time I want to stop or start the music. (with mute, it still takes bandwidth and processor power)

O.k. that was just an idea... Please let me now what you think... Or if there is a slight chance to see that feature in the near future. Thanks a lot. Hope my asking doesnt bug you.

No, i consider the work on sndvol finished. No more options or features will be added (by me, at least).

Hmm ... I can see the mRadio buttons, but they are inactive.

I use the static Version of SndVol-Plugin (didn't found right version of msvcr80.dll).

Then something must be wrong on your end. There is no difference between dynamically and statically linked versions. Both are working as they should.

Ok, i acepted your explanation about both versions :-)

I tried it with new database, but still the same: mRadio checkboxes are inactive. I want to check which of another my 69 plugins is making troubles ... or i try a newer testing build of Miranda.

    Thx anyway, Nightwish.

If the checkboxes on the option page are disabled, it means that sndvol cannot find the mRadio service which is needed to set the volume.

This service was added to mRadio in a later version and wasn't present from the beginning. So you may just try to update mRadio to the latest version.

You can find mRadio "on this page" http://www.miranda.kom.pl/dev/bankrut/" rel="nofollow">:http://www.miranda.kom.pl/dev/bankrut/
